We use carefully selected and professionally trained individuals who come from similar backgrounds to the young people in need of support as they offer real understanding of the situations the young people in gangs face and can relate to the experiences the young people are going through.
Our aim is to help disengage young people from the gang lifestyle by de-glamourizing the gang culture and exposing the realities of negative lifestyle choices such as carrying a weapon.
Our role in the community is to help tackle poverty by encouraging young people to develop educationally, socially, and morally and help to break negative cycles that exist in the community, build relationships with young people through effective community projects; this will allow them to explore and make sense of their experiences and have a positive place in society.
We run a unique youth programme that attracts young people who have interests and ambitions in music, media and performing arts and who need activities in which to learn and demonstrate the skills and talent they have.
Through this initiative we have provided creative activities for young people living in culturally diverse communities. It is through these projects that we have had significant success in attracting and maintaining the interest of young people.
